The Most Instagrammable Foods in Tokyo
Tokyo, Japan is definitely known for delicious and also very visually appealing food. Sushi, sashimi, curry, ramen, desserts, western food, you name it and Japan has it. You will not run out of places to eat while visiting and might even come back home a few pounds heavier. Here are my top instagram worthy foods in Tokyo.
Japanese Fluffy Pancakes
Pancakes are one of the foods I believe everyone must try while visiting Tokyo. Unlike American pancakes, these are perfect, thick and fluffy. There are many restaurants where you can get Japanese style pancakes, though I thought these pancakes from Flipper's were to die for.

Cotton Candy
This cotton candy from Totti Candy Factory in Harajuku was cute, colorful and delicious. What I like about Totti is that you pay and then you can watch them make your cotton candy fresh, color by color. Be careful as you walk outside in the crowd on Takeshita Street, as this is the only place to eat and take photos.

Themed Food
Theme cafes should definitely be on your mind if you are planning a visit to Tokyo. There are so many different unique cafes, there is honestly something for everyone. During my trip, I had the chance to visit the Pokemon Cafe, located in Nihonbashi. All the food and drinks were super cute and were all Pokemon related. Pikachu even popped by to say hello during our meal! So Kawaii!

Taiyaki
Taiyaki are fish shaped cakes that are usually filled with something sweet and delicious (red bean, custard, chocolate, sweet potato, etc.) They are a delicious and cute snack that are found all around Tokyo, though in some places you may find some special Taiyaki that are related to the area you are visiting. For example, you can get Maguro (Tuna) shaped taiyaki at the Tsukiji Fish Market, and you can even get Hachiko shaped Taiyaki in Shibuya.

Kawaii Ice Cream
So who doesn't love a cute ice cream cone? Eddy's Ice Cream in Harajuku definitely has plenty of options to satisfy both your sweet tooth and your desire for kawaii. You can choose vanilla, strawberry or mixed, and a style or you can customize your cone. The store is super cute and pastel, both inside and out, which is perfect for getting some shots of that ice cream.

Latte Art
At Reissue in Harajuku, you can have the truly unique experience of requesting both 2D and 3D art on your coffee. Either scroll through instagram to see what people have requested in the past or request whatever you want. I did both and got a 2D version of my dog and also a 3D Rilakkuma. Seriously, what is better than that?!
